The Meteorological Department has predicted a spell of wind and thunderstorm rains across various regions of Pakistan during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, starting from June 18. A shallow westerly wave and moist currents from the Arabian Sea are expected to bring precipitation to the upper and central parts of the country.
Regional Weather Forecast:
– Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir: Heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms expected from June 18-22.
– Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rain-wind and thunderstorms predicted from June 18-22.
– Punjab and Islamabad: Dust/thunderstorm rains expected from June 18-22.
– Balochistan: Duststorm/thunderstorm with rain predicted from June 20-22.
– Sindh: Isolated rain-thunderstorm and gusty winds expected from June 21-22.
