Lahore, September 25, 2024 — The Punjab government has made a major breakthrough in its CM Skills Development Initiative, with the announcement that 10,000 additional training slots will be made available in the upcoming phase of the program. This expansion is part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s broader vision to combat rising youth unemployment by equipping young people with market-relevant skills.
During a press conference, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the program, which has already trained over 50,000 participants across various technical fields. The next phase will target sectors such as IT, agriculture, and manufacturing, which are witnessing increasing demand. Additionally, the government is partnering with international organizations to provide globally recognized certifications, allowing trainees to explore job opportunities both domestically and abroad.
