Karachi is in the grip of a severe heatwave, with temperatures climbing to a blistering 39°C. The city’s meteorological department has warned that the hot and dry conditions are expected to persist for another 4 to 5 days.

Residents have been urged to take precautions, such as staying indoors during peak hours, staying hydrated, and wearing light clothing. The extreme heat has increased the risk of heatstroke and other heat-related illnesses, particularly among vulnerable populations like the elderly and children.
