Speaking to the media at the BISP office in Chilas, Khalid emphasized that this initiative aims to ensure that beneficiaries can access their entitlements more easily, transparently, and with dignity. The move is in line with President Asif Ali Zardari’s directives and has been made possible through collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan.
Khalid also highlighted the establishment of a modern call center with a dedicated helpline (0800-26477) for registering and addressing complaints. She stressed that any deductions from stipends or mistreatment of deserving women would not be tolerated.
The BISP Chairperson also discussed the challenges faced by women in remote areas in registering for the program and requested the federal government to provide additional Mobile Registration Vans.
In addition, Khalid announced the launch of the Benazir Skill Training Program, designed to empower deserving women and their families to improve their quality of life and contribute to the national economy.
The media was urged to play a vital role in raising awareness about BISP among eligible women.
