How Much Will Electricity Bills Decrease?
According to media reports, the current basic tariff rate for up to 500 units is 37 to 38 rupees per unit, which will decrease to 24 rupees per unit after the 14 rupee relief. This means that a person who previously paid 18,551 rupees will now pay 11,495 rupees.
Relief Package for Electricity Consumers
The relief package is for consumers from 0 to 500 units, and consumers will be given a 14 rupee per unit relief. This package is expected to benefit 4,844,050 consumers in Pakistan.
