In tandem, the cabinet’s decision to lease agricultural land to small-scale farmers is part of a broader agenda to boost the agricultural sector. With a growth rate of 6.6% this year, Punjab’s agriculture sector has been pivotal in ensuring food security and generating foreign exchange.
