Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz addressed the Punjab Assembly, announcing the distribution date for e-bikes, a flagship project under the Chief Minister Youth Initiative. The provincial government plans to initiate the distribution of electric bikes starting July 10. This initiative aims to provide students with easy access to transportation, promoting education and empowerment.

In her speech, Maryam Nawaz showcased her government’s accomplishments during its first 100 days, emphasizing the historic tax-free budget and the absence of new taxes imposed on the people of Punjab. The laptop scheme, worth 10 billion rupees, is set to be revived by her government, providing students with the tools they need to succeed.

Historic Tax-Free Budget, Laptop Scheme Revival, and Healthcare Facilities

Additionally, plans are underway to enroll out-of-school children in educational institutions, ensuring every child has access to quality education. Maryam Nawaz highlighted that public hospitals provide free medicines and treatment facilities, catering to the healthcare needs of the people.

E-Bike Scheme for Students, Interest-Free Loans for Farmers

The government has launched an interest-free e-bikes project for students and introduced measures to support farmers, including interest-free loans and subsidies on agricultural machinery. Under the Chief Minister Youth Initiative, 20,000 bikes are being provided, with male students paying Rs 11,676 monthly and female students paying Rs 7,325 monthly. The quota allocation for urban areas is 50% for both male and female students, while in rural areas, it’s 70% for male students and 30% for female students.
