The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Livestock Card scheme to enhance meat production and exports, supporting 80,000 livestock farmers in the province. This initiative offers interest free loans and essential services to livestock farmers, particularly small-scale and marginalized ones.

Interest-Free Loans for Livestock Farmers:

The Livestock Card scheme provides interest-free loans ranging from Rs 1,35,000 to Rs 2,70,000 to eligible farmers. These loans can be used to purchase windrow, silage, and mineral mixture.

Other Benefits and Services:

The Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Government of Punjab, will provide free sanitation, treatment, and animal weighing services every 15 days. Farmers can avail of these services by contacting the department’s helpline at 08000-9211.

Registration and Vaccination Reminders:

Farmers are reminded to register their animals on the PAITS system and ensure timely vaccination as per the schedule.
