The “Sasti Basti” project aims to provide affordable homes to the province’s most vulnerable citizens, aligning with the party chairman’s vision to construct homes for the underprivileged. The meeting also approved the annual budget and reviewed previous minutes, with key attendees including MPA’s Muhammad Yusuf Baloch and Aruba Rabbani.
In addition to the housing scheme, the meeting also sanctioned the formation of demolition squads to tackle encroachments in slums across Sindh.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a similar initiative, “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar”, offering affordable housing to Punjab residents. Dr. Amjad Saqib, founder of Akhuwat Foundation, commended CM Maryam Nawaz’s efforts in reducing electricity bills and launching this initiative.
The low-cost housing program is underway in Punjab, with plans to expand it annually to support low-income individuals in achieving homeownership.
This move by the Sindh government is expected to bring relief to thousands of deserving citizens, providing them with a chance to own a home and improve their living standards.
