SUV Unveilings– Hyundai, Kia, and Mercedes-Benz have officially announced the launches of their upcoming SUV’s. we provide detailed insights into each of them:
New Mercedes-Benz GLS
Mercedes-Benz is scheduled to unveil the facelifted GLS in India in January 2024, following its global debut in April 2023. The refreshed GLS boasts subtle styling upgrades, while the interior undergoes significant revisions, incorporating an updated MBUX infotainment system, new upholstery choices like Catalana Beige and Bahia Brown leather, and a new parking suite. Expected to be priced above Rs. 1 crore (ex-showroom), it will be powered by either a 3.0L petrol or a 3.0L diesel engine, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, transferring power to all four wheels through a 4Matic AWD system.
2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift
Hyundai is set to unveil the revamped Creta in January 2024, marking the first significant update for the second-generation Creta introduced in early 2020. The upcoming model showcases a completely redesigned front fascia and a substantially revamped rear profile, aligning with Hyundai’s latest Sensuous Sportiness design language. The interior is also poised for notable changes, introducing new features and technologies. Joining the lineup is a new 1.5L turbo GDI petrol engine generating 160 PS maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque, likely paired with a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift
Pricing details for the facelifted Kia Sonet are expected to be revealed next month, with bookings already underway. Customer deliveries are set to commence in January 2024 for all variants, except the diesel MT variant, which will be delivered the following month. The 2024 Kia Sonet features a new front fascia with updated grille and headlamps, along with new LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps, newly designed alloy wheels, and updated front and rear bumpers. The cabin is enhanced with more features, including technologies such as Level 1 ADAS.
