The Young Doctors Association has announced a strike in hospitals across Punjab. Dr. Shoaib Niazi, President of the Young Doctors Association, announced the strike, stating that all OPDs (Outpatient Departments) will remain closed starting today.
Dr. Niazi alleged that violence against young doctors continues in hospitals, and the government has failed to enact legislation to ensure their security. He further stated that the government has not regularized the jobs of doctors and ad-hoc staff, nor has it provided them with the necessary allowances.
Dr. Niazi warned that the strike will continue until their demands are met.
