ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Navy has deployed its warship, PNS ASLAT, on a regional maritime security patrol in the Indian Ocean. According to a press release from Rawalpindi on Saturday, PNS ASLAT will protect merchant ships entering and exiting Pakistani ports, supported by dedicated helicopters. The deployment also aims to safeguard international shipping routes. While on patrol, PNS ASLAT will engage in joint operations with allied and partner nations in addition to conducting its own missions. The warship will also make visits to regional ports as part of maritime diplomacy efforts. PNS ASLAT is outfitted with advanced weapons and sensors, enabling it to handle diverse threats and execute a broad range of maritime operations.
