The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the nation’s central bank, is seeking seasoned professionals for key roles in its Human Resources Department. These positions are based in Karachi and offer a unique  career opportunity to contribute to the bank’s HR functions.

Open Positions:

Deputy Director (OG-3) / Assistant Director (OG-2)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing HR policies, mechanisms, SOPs, and proposals, particularly in talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, training, employee services, employee relations, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Actively participate in recruitment and selection processes.
  • Plan and manage employee onboarding.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support effective policy and procedure implementation.
  • Ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration, including timely salary and benefit disbursement.
  • Handle income tax-related matters, salary and allowance reimbursement claims, and issuance of tax and salary certificates.
  • Calculate and process retirement benefits and final settlements.
  • Manage staff loans and advances according to applicable rules, ensuring timely disbursements.
  • Process travel-related payments, education payments, and scholarship matters.
  • Ensure timely pension disbursements and calculate entitlements for separated employees.
  • Handle employee leave cases and related communications, and monitor system-related issues for necessary enhancements.

Eligibility Criteria:

Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management Sciences, Public Administration, or IT from an HEC recognized institution. Preference for candidates with HR-related certifications.

Age (as of advertisement date):

  • OG-3: Maximum 38 years
  • OG-2: Maximum 32 years
  • Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with additional relevant experience and certifications.

Experience:

  • OG-3: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR.
  • OG-2: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HR.

Competencies:

  • Proficient business writing and interpersonal skills.
  • IT and numeracy skills for managing computerized payroll and benefits systems.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate effectively.
  • Influencing and negotiating skills for implementing personnel policies.
  • Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and prioritize workload effectively.
